What happens if you print this one?
2025_Tolson_CDs.pdf (3.8 MB)
let’s see….
Okay Dave. What ever you did - it worked… changed some fonts but fixed the missing drawing info. What was your trick?
Also work mentioning - we are experiencing this issue with current drawing sets. Just now - Thought to open PDFs of older projects that we haven’t opened in months and found that the print issue happens to those (despite it not having happened when those jobs were current and we printed the drawings months ago)
::sigh::
My guess is that something (a system update?) has happened with the Mac that affects printing complex page layout-type documents. I don’t know anything about current Macs but on the PC analogous situations have traditionally been fixed by checking something like “print as image” in print options. This switches processing the page away from your printer to your computer. It might be a bit slower but if an option like this is available you could try it.
Good.
I expect that’s because I don’t have those fonts resident on my computer.
I just exported the PDF from LO2026 on my PC. I imagine @Anssi is correct tand some recent change on your Mac is the cause of the issue.
This is definitely a sign that it’s a change to the OS that is responsible. Obviously LayOut wouldn’t be involved in printing existing PDFs and since this only started happening recently but LO 2025 hasn’t changed in months, it would be another reason to look elsewhere for the problem.
I’m on a Mac and can test tomorrow when I’m in the office.
Sometimes worth using a different pdf program. We have had a lot of issues with Adobe Acrobat probably related to fonts and the like where lines would be blacked (looked like the Epstein files). Changed to Foxit which solved those issues.
I remember having a similar issue at one point and found a setting toggled off after an Adobe update.
In the pdf portion of the output properties is “print background images” enabled?
Or it might be “include background images” I think Dave was on the right track with this.
