I made this shape with the follow me tool and I had to create the red, connecting edges one by one. It was very tedious. Is there a plugin that does this automatically?
Possibly, but it begs the question: why do you want those connecting edges? They will break the top and bottom faces into a collection of smaller faces. Unless you need to do something different to each of the small faces, that’s not necessary.
Well, since you ask, I need the subdivisions to smoothly project a texture along the curve, like this:
