The hinges look ok to me. Not sure what you’ve got going on with the door stile, though.

Yes, he has been very patient and helpful.
I modeled the stile out and opened it for editing. Then, I used guidelines and the draw tool to fill some of the unwanted shapes. I then used guidelines, line draw, and push/pull to make the bottom hinge mortise. I erased unwanted lines carefully as I went. Because I’m using the trial Pro version, I will try to use the Sketch-up tutorials to lay out according to video 5.
