Interior 360 Panorama Spherical Projection for Animated Tour

I’m working on an animation that I’m ultimately hoping to play in SketchFab of the following structure:

Basically I want scene 1 to look at the outside of the house, then orbit around the structure and zoom in through the backdoor, into a 360 interior view of the structure.

I have a 360 photo of the interior here:

I’m trying to figure out how to add a photo sphere thing inside of the structure, but I’m stuck at getting the image to project inside of the sphere properly.

Here’s a link to my model, where you can see that I’ve made a few attempts at getting the texture to project: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1RVz7fNX-z9qAcd4xQg2hxDIadTFlhV2j

I looked at another forum posts and found a suggestions for doing a spherical projection. I downloaded the UVTools extension, but I can’t figure out how to make it work.

Any suggestions?

This may not be what you’re looking for, but I used a plugin to map your image to the inside of a sphere and then made the outside transparent:

I used a second plugin to create 360 one-degree scenes orbiting the model:

The first plugin can be found here:

The orbiter is here:

Do you need the pano to be inside of the building? It seems to me like you have more options if you piece together two separate animations. One of the just outside exported from SU, then cross dissolve or transition to a spherical (interior) animation from a separate app.

Many apps allow you to view your image as 360 pano. Here is test using the free Google ‘Tour Creator’: https://poly.google.com/u/0/view/6Sd2DHTmmdT
…you could use your OS screen capture software, like Quicktime on OS X to capture looking around the space.
