Importing template into 2015 from previous version of LayOut

First time poster here and very excited to be apart of the forum.
I just installed the 2015 pro and when I opened LayOut my template from my former LayOut was nowhere to be found. I’m not a technical wizard but it looks like the version simply replaced the old so I’m wondering if there’s a way to retrieve my template.

Your older template should be exactly where you last saved it. You can just navigate to the folder where the older version saved its layout templates, open it with the newer one and resave “as template”.
This is where Layout saves its templates by default:
C:\Users<your username>\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp \LayOut\Templates
Note that the AppData folder is hidden by default.

Correction (forum gobbled characters):

%APPDATA% = C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming

%APPDATA%\SketchUp\SketchUp %ver%\LayOut\Templates

Where %ver% is 2013, 2014, 2015, etc.
