What version of the IFC? Do you have the same error message for dwg file?

A common cause is that the IFC version of the IFC model to be imported is not supported by SketchUp. SketchUp Pro 2021 supports only the version IFC2x3.

Can you view the IFC in a viewer (Solibri, Navisworks,…)?

These are classification files and have no influence on the importer, they can be used to classify a model’s objects and when exporting, some attributes are preserved in the ifc output.

Please tell me how you use the IFC, I study the ability, interactions of Tekla and sketchup.
