I make some basic geometry in autocad and import it into sketchup. I get to keep total accuracy. I export it back from sketchup to dwg, as 2D graphics. Still total accuracy. I present the dwg imported into sketchup in Layout. STILL total accuracy (Layout dimensioning in red, and sketchup dimensioning in grey). So there’s no question Layout is able to hold precise values.
If I however take that dwg directly into Layout, things go just a little bit wrong.
And If I export from Layout to dwg, things go wrong as well. Here I export the precise version that I got through sketchup, and not the direct dwg import that was already a bit off.
This last image is of dimensioning in autocad (red and blue dimensions) on the export from Layout.
