what are my options to use meta 3 to view models via trimble connect?

This section is “Meta” as in where we talk about issues with the forum IN the forum… I think the section that you are looking for is the SketchUp Viewer for Quest section. (I moved it there)

Trimble officially announced that it was going to discontinue the SketchUp viewer for Meta on September 16th in 2025. It’s no longer downloadable or supported and there is no first-party immersive VR viewer for Trimble Connect with the Quest 3. If you already have the app installed, it may still launch and sign you in. If you need to use this for a client workflow on a commercial basis, I’d recommend you:

  • Use the Quest browser, which is flat and not really immersive so not great for a walkthrough.
  • Tether the Quest via Quest Link to your PC and then launch Trimble Connect there.
  • Use a third-party app like VR Sketch or Arckio. You’ll have to give it the SketchUp file so that it becomes immersive.
