IFC attributes associated with components

I’m trying to understand Trimble’s claim that Sketchup’s supports IFC 2x3.
I’m just getting my head around IFC and BIM generally, but I know that a Window for example has a lot of IFC info associated with it, including things like transmission properties etc.
Where is it possible to attach info when making a Sketchup component?

Or am I ‘not even wrong’ in the way I’m asking this?

You must make a component and add a classification to it. It will then pop-up in the Dynamic Component Options dialog. I am also beginning to discover the possibilities of classifications within SketchUp.
