I can’t figure out how to push/pull that circle that’s on a 27 degree angle straight over on the green axis. Is there a better way to cut out parts from a cylinder for this design that will give me 2mm thick walls?
I’m practically a beginner and don’t know the correct way to go about this. My goal is to replicate a cup holder that keeps getting crushed lol.
See this SU file for ideas.

Thanks for the help! So do I need to trace a line around the group that acts as a saw blade? I guess it acts as an intersection for you to reference?
No, in fact you can explode the group before doing the intersection.
It is the face of the circle that does the intersection.

Ohhhh I had no idea. That is a game changer. Thank you so much for your help!
I used a circle as a cutter because I like the analogy with a saw blade but you can also use a rectangle or a polygon. The important thing is that you need a flat face to cut the cylinder.
