Same old question - How to fix the model for 3D printing

Hello everybody,
Got this model from a forum but cant 3d print it. The slicer fills the interior with an infill, the small “windows” disappear and so on. I guess the model isnt solid. How do I fix it?

What tools do you have available to you in SketchUp? What version of SketchUp are you really using? Your profile says “Free Plan” 2023. Does that mean you are using a cracked version of SketchUp Pro?

Your model isn’t a solid, faces are incorrectly oriented and there are other issues. Learning to use SketchUp following the link @Box gave you is the first step.

@Box and @DaveR gave you some great advice. And @DaveR also asked you to update your profile … which is appropriate.

Meanwhile … here is a “cleaned up” SketchUp model your Cup Holder.

And here is the STL file of that model … which Cura had no problem slicing.

Meanwhile, learn how to use SketchUp … and you will have great fun designing and printing anything you want.

I have only the viewer Sketchup and I asked someone to convert it to STL when I tried slicing it. I am not planning to do any 3d designs as I mostly use existing models. Thus, buying Sketchup is a bit of waste… Alghout, as this model is very important for me and if I see I need to do changes, I’ll buy the license and will do the classes…
Thank you Egodesy. Will try to slice it now

well, if it’s for a personal use, you can also use the free web app. fewer tools, but you can download a STL file from there.

no business though
