I understand popups telling people using trial or free to get a subscription. but pro / studio users have already paid their dues, do we need popups and ads telling us the hot new things? youāve got us hooked already, leave us be
and yeah, the content is also a problem. I didnāt get a popup telling me there was now a small + button to create scenes on the go in the scene tab bar. I didnāt get a popup telling me the component panel had a functional search bar now (finally).

The pop ups are intrusive. How ever learning about new features is welcome just not while im in the middle of actual work. The admin console is TERRIBLE. If I look at my products its blank. I often have to go back to an older version of SU and Layout due to bugs in new releases. Right now version 2024 is somehow corrupted. When I open a session of 2024 I get a ātoo many instances of Sketchup openā and if you follow the link it takes you to a non relevant part of the Admin Console. Finding the place where you can reset open session seems to be gone. The ability to upgrade or down grade a license is garbage. Simply put the admin console is ā ā ā ā .
I get daily emails trying to attract me to sign up for Sketchup even though Im subscribed. I also get promotions for discounts that are only available to new users. Its kind of a slap in the face. Heres a thought Give us a 1% discount for every Bugsplat we file when we renew! You guys would be writing me a check!
Jumping in 2 days later simply because I feel strongly about this: for many of us, AI in CAD is not as desirable as your management is implying.
Are the outputs neat? Yeah, sometimes.
Are they good enough that they make our day easier? Never.
I like modeling. Being immersed in a CAD environment and letting my brain be 10 steps ahead of my clicks as it plans the perfect workflow is one of the few things that actually lets me achieve focus, so why would I want AI-anything?
As far as popups go: Iām kind of astonished that the PM teams donāt recognize the widely agreed upon consensus that popups are hands down the worst method of advertising you can use. A user clicking on them to close them out does NOT count as āengagementā.
If you want to use popups, save them for the free versions. Us paid folks already know what we use and will find the new features when we need them, we really shouldnāt be your advertising targets, youāve already earned money from us.
also, can we also get rid of the banner in the 3d warehouse? Iāve been there about 20 times in 4 days, and itās here about half the time. the best thing ? itās the same size as the top menubar, so you canāt see stuff like your profile.

I really feel your pain, you have an unusual small banana, but donāt worry, move on, you donāt need to talk about it all the time, other people have these problems and can live with it without constantly bragging about it.
Anyway, I ended up not checking out what AI Render could do because I was afraid my banana would become small too. ::
