Ai assistent and ai render latest version

hi there togher, i have updated to the lastest version of su but im not sure im utilising the latest versions of ai assistant and ai render?! they are also not subject to uninstall via the manager :confused: would be super if anyone has a tipp how to remove the existing plugins and so i can get the latest ones from extension warehouse - thx

according to the x-warehouse assistant is up2date - also i thought it was or should be possible to select the llm?

for ai render im clearly on a old version?!

SketchUp ships with version 1.0.3 of the AI Assistant extension which matches the version in the EW.

SU also ships with version 1.2026.03.25 of the AI Render extension. Weirdly the displayed version in the EW has a different format. But the release date in the EW looks newer than the extension as shipped with SketchUp.

Note that when SketchUp starts up, if it thinks the version in it’s "ShippedExtensions" folder is newer than what is installed in your "Plugins" folder SU will copy the shipped one and overwrite the one in your "Plugins" folder.

The only way to prevent this, if SketchUp keeps overwriting with an old shipped version, is to manually delete the one in:
%ProgramFiles%/SketchUp/SketchUp 2026/SketchUp/ShippedExtensions

Is the irony of the situation lost here! Or is it a failsafe that may be the salvation of humanity.

thanks everyone for the input .. i ended up uninstalling all sketchup instances. betas, labs etc.. maybe too much confusion :slight_smile: … i manually also delted all remnants .. sure enough a clean install is not a bad idea at all …
