I don't see Thumbnails anymore

I am using SketchUp Pro for several years now. I think since the last update the thumbnails I used to see in my file list on my iMac were replaced with the sketchup logo.

Can somebody tell me how I can get the thumbnails back? Is there a setting I have to change?

Which version of SketchUp are you using? Are you still using Mac OS 10.10.4 as your profile shows? Please complete and update your forum profile.

Sorry, you are right. I will correct it immediately. :innocent:

Sorry to ask, but how do I change my profile. I don’t seem to be able to find it. :face_with_peeking_eye:

Click on the P in the green circle at the top right of the forum page. Then the person icon, Preferences, and Profile. After completing and updating remember to scroll to the bottom and click the Save button.

Thanks for your help here Dave. I have made the changes. You should be able to see them.

I hope you can help me with the Thumbnail issue.

If you’ve updated our Mac lately, you may want to uninstall and reinstall SketchUp -perhaps it has unregistered the service required

There is a post here from 2020 that explains how you can check to see if the Mac is running the service , maybe try that

Thanks for the advice. I will try this for sure.

I just tested, and although the qlmanage command utility still runs in macOS 26, it doesn’t show any SketchUp thumbnail generator. I will try reinstalling the latest SU 2026 later to see whether that fixes the problem, but it may be that the devs forgot to register the generator.

Same problem here with Mav Tahoe and SU 26.
