I bought SketchUp Pro 4 days into my free trial, but the trial is still superseding the subscription

Yesterday I bought SketchUp Pro, yearly subscription, as I’m 4 days into me free trial. I figured SketchUp would automatically activate my Pro version and I could get started using it right away. But, my free trial is still active and I can’t figure out hot to stop it. I’ve tried everything imaginable…but the trial won’t go away. In “My Products” it only shows what’s available on the trial, but in the “Admin Console” inside “Manage Account” it shows my purchase of Pro as Active….
I assume when my trial is over in a few days Pro may kick in…but at this point I don’t even know if I trust that to happen. I would really like to get started using the Pro features asap.

You may not be the only one. See this thread:

You should probably contact support asap rather than wait and see if it resolves itself. The licensing servers seem to be buggy, and they need to be told.

hello,

on your account management page, look for the members section, and verify if your active subscription is applied to your email by going to the three dots menu

also make sure the email address you’re connected to in sketchup is the same than the one listed

once done, you may have to log off and log back in, inside sketchup

Thanks for the tip, although I’ve tried all of this already. I heard from support this morning, apparently this is just how it goes. The subscription only starts once the trial is over, even though you’re restricted with the trial version - totally unfair.

The trial has access to all of the Pro AND Studio features, so it shouldn’t be an issue if there is overlap.

EDIT: The other thread about it confirms this is another issue related to their upgrade

Incorrect. There is no way to remove the assigned trial anywhere - confirmed by the support team. Also, not ALL features are available in the free trial - specifically adjusting the size of geolocation I want to import into my model. I’m told I have to wait until my trial is over.

what if, still in the member section, you add an other user/email address (even a test one, or with a secondary mail you have) and assign the licence to it ? I see no reason why it would stick to the trial version

If you’d like DM me your email and I’ll try and revoke the trial from your account

Edit.

I’ve just taken a look, they are locked in the customer interface. Support certainly would be able to remove it.

I can remove trials in my reseller portal

oh right, sorry !

Hi Dylan,

Really sorry to hear this has happened. It’s caused by a recent bug that was introduced when we migrated entitlements systems that was not picked up with QA.

We are working on a fix. I’m sorry support were not able to help you.

Hi @dylan.dgdesignbuild,

We have deployed a temporary workaround for this ~3 hours ago that should unblock access to add location for you and anybody else with Pro & Studio trial licenses.

Once we have a full fix, the workaround will be removed (and you should still have access).

Please follow up if this doesn’t unblock you.

Best regards,
Dan

i am so desapointing about trimble team twice this year. They desactivate my account but i have subscribe for an additional year, i pay almost $400 for the pro version. Still, for the past two months, I have been unable to even open my SketchUp software to work. I lost money because my client switched the project to someone else. The other person use another software to make his 3D modeling, actually i di love sketchup so much. Still, i dont know how to fixw this problem i ve tried everything to contact them i even call the number on my envoice but still nothing i am tired and so far i keep watching them just i definitely done i dont know?
