I have Sketch Up Pro and I was wondering how to get it as close to design 2020 without paying 3000. Are there any extensions that I can use to make snap to dimensions? I know I can not load the libraries . I design Kitchen, Bath and Whole Home Remodels .
Okay, so some research shows that the product is actually named:
- 2020 Design Live
Features | 2020 Design Live | Bathroom & Kitchen Design Software
There are some major differences that will not be available in SketchUp:
- SketchUp does not use the Metro ribbon tool interface
- SketchUp cannot display multiple views at the same time.
- The views are tabbed and you can switch by clicking a view page tab.
- Annotating is usually done in SketchUp’s stand-alone paperspace application called LayOut (which has model viewports that show the model views.)
- You may insert as many viewports showing modelspace views as you wish on a single LayOut page. (You can of course, have multiple pages in a

document.)

There are some interface features in SketchUp that are similar:
- SketchUp has docking trays and a Components inspector panel that can be docked to either side.
- This panel can browse local component collections on your machine or collections in the Trimble 3D Warehouse.
- SketchUp allows the trays (you can create custom trays) to be collapsed (AutoHidden) into the margins of the modeling area. Hover the mouse over one of these margin tabs and the tray slides out into view for use. Move the mouse outside the tray, and it slides back out of view into the margin.
There are extensions that are for specifically kitchen cabinet design. It has been asked many, many times in this category, what are the Kitchen cabinet design extensions.
