Often I have trouble selecting all those lines that make a curve. There is a way to select them all without clicking at one by one?
Double-clicking selects all connected edges.
Selection Toys plugin might be helpful… gives you lots of options for what you select. Not sure if if will help in this particular case, but you can filter by edge loops, surfaces, lines, etc. etc.
I’m not the one to know for sure, but I think Sub-D or some other similar plugin can do that.
With native tools, I double click the face, and then deselect the unwanted parts - not a complete solution, but it’s a better start than picking each one or picking everything connected.
Going into parallel view helps.
In this case,
- I’d double click on the bottom adjacent face. This will select the face and all adjacent edges.
- Holding “ctrl”+“shift” I’d double click on the next interior under-belly face to deselect the inside edges of the initial face selected.
- Holding “ctrl”+“shift” I’d single click the initial face we selected to deselect it.
This should leave you with only the perimeter edges selected.
