When i insert a scrapbook item with auto text onto my page how do i get it to reference a specific viewport? i.e. to get the scale and SceneDescription to link to a specific view port? Currently they do not reference anything.
You need to edit the transparent label leaders so that they are on the viewport.
So I can’t figure out how to edit the transparent label leaders.
I’ve seen a transparent label leader some how become associated with a view port but I have no idea how it occurred or how to edit it.
Also what about scrapbook items with multiple labels, do you have to some how edit each label in the group?
In version 2023 you can move a scrapbook item onto the viewport and then re-position the scrapbook item and the transparent leaders “stay” on the viewport or in versions prior to 2023 – not sure if 2022 works the same as 2023…
Thanks for the video and the explanation.
So I think I saw the behavior you describe for 2023 work once but I could not reproduce it.The video you posted makes it seem easier than it is to reposition the leader. In my experimentation with that exact scrapbook item I found that the leaders for the top and bottom label elements are attached to the circle and I could not grab and move the leader without first moving the text away from the circle.
All in all the experience is not very clean or intuitive.
Thanks,
Matt S.
Do you have Grid Snap enabled in LayOut? If so, turn it off.
