The Extension Manager does not accept the .rb file.
Where is the Plugins folder?
I know that. The Extension Manager is looking for .rbz files. As I said, you can pack the .rb file into a .zip file and rename it to .rbz.
The Plugins folder path was given to you by Box 18 hours ago.
I tried to pack the .rb file into a zip (7zip) file but it would not let me.
I found the Plugin folder, Thanks Box, and copied the files.

Possible because I am running a Eval copy is why I am having problems.
I wanted to see if there was any benefit to using 2023 over 2019.
The 2019 still uses the 3D mouse which is what I really need.
Thanks again for all of the help.

The Error message shows 2 tries!

this is the driver you need
From 3dC
I believe the 3DxWare app will install 3DConnexion Home. When I upgraded SU to 2023 all I did was reinstall the latest version of 3DxWare. I think that takes care of the drivers as well.
After installing 3DxWare, try searching for 3DConnexion home on your computer. If it is installed, youâll be able to test the SpaceMouse with the Trainer, apply Settings, etc.
Maybe I oughtnât have mentioned the .rb file as installing should be an easy process.
3DxWare and the driver (archives) are available here:
3DxWare 10 Archives - 3Dconnexion US
I had no idea. Thanks
I have the latest driver from 3Dconnexion!!
Did you download this software: 3Dconnexion Software
Donât mess with the .rb file or zipping. Just uninstall and install a fresh copy. Installation can be touchy, but you need to reinstall after SketchUp.
Hi
Copying and pasting the file from 2022 to 2023 as Box suggested above has worked for me.
Eureka!
Everything I tried failed. So I have given up on the 2023 version.
The 2019 version works great so I do not know what I might be missing.
I only use Sketchup once in a while maybe twice a year for two weeks
so I do not want to get a subscription and a new 3D mouse.

Manually copying the extension from 2019 to 2023 may not work (I believe there have been api changes between those versions). I am pretty sure that the most recent installer includes 2023, though.
