How to Get SketchUp Model Panel to Open

This makes it sound as if you are trying to type scene names into the Scenes window. Are you?

My mistake, Layout rule number 1

no I’m not.

Well, I did the double click. I’m going to close the layout without saving and go to an earlier version.

Douuble clicking creates problems.

I drawing a blank on where to look for this “Upload” button. Message window?

The message window–where you type your message here in the forum.

He needs to send you the SKP file too right?
Are there scenes in there to start with?

Leave you to it, bedtime…

I’m sorry, I’m not locating this.

Yes, there are scenes in the SKP file.

Nope. The SKP file is embedded in the LO file.

Are you replying here in the forum? Do you see in my screen shot the upload button indicated?

Yes, I’m in the forum. A1_Site.layout (2.9 MB)

I found the button, I was looking in a different spot.

I’m thinking that I’ve corrupted this model and need to start over, from scratch.

The SKP file is missing from the LO file. Can you upload the SU file? Maybe it can be relinked and fixed.

Upload done, not noticing much difference.

I have the LO file but there’s no SKP file in it. Can you upload the SKP file here? Maybe I can fix the LO file if I have the SKP file. It should have been in the LO file but it does look like it got corrupted somehow.

Well, I’ve gone back to square one. I noticed that there were no files in my Layout Folder, so I deleted the folder, and copied over the original folder and files and am beginning again.

Thanks for your input on this. After a while, I get tired of chasing my tail, and a clean start is ok.

Chip

Yes. A clean start is a good thing sometimes. Good luck.

Remember don’t double click that viewport!
Sorry about that I should know better Dave told me himself, it will give you problems with scenes
