How to delete Trimble Connect projects on Ipad

I am able to create new Trimble Connect projects on the iPad, but I can’t seem to find a way to delete them. Am I missing something?

Can anyone help?

Kind regards,

Jan

Okay, I found a way to delete them in the web version of Trimble Connect. However, this isn’t how things should work. Sorry :-1:

Update the software. There is a version 6.5.5 where you can find other then “Rename” in that menu… :innocent:
Sorry :v:

SketchUp for iPad utilizing the common data environment of Trimble Connect means that one has to adopt the terminology it uses. Simply put, a SketchUp Model is considered a file within a Project.
So once a Project is made, one has to create a new model (or subfolder and then a model).
Since chance’s are to risky to delete a whole folder or project in one go, it was probably not implemented and reserved to the file level, only.
Mind you, in the browser (connect.trimble.com) there is a tab with activities where one could restore accidentally removed files.
Since the intention of Trimble Connect is also to collaborate with different stakeholders, one could also choose to leave a project, instead of deleting it. (There has to be one stakeholder with the role of admin left in the project)
Hope this helps understanding:)

@MikeWayzovski already hit on most of the big thoughts around our current Trimble Connect experience on iPad. One more thing worth mentioning is that in our latest 6.5.6 release we’ve included an option in the overflow menu of a file that is hosted on Trimble Connect to ‘View in browser’, letting you quickly get access to the file and project for easier management.

@blacktrains, let me know if you feel that working in this way is useful to you, or if you have any thoughts about specific file management capabilities or workflows that would help you out when working with models hosted on Trimble Connect.
