I’ve made a completely new sketchup model, but I want to keep my existing Layout file that is linked to the old model, as I have a bunch of 2d stuff I want to keep. If I relink Layout to the new model will it keep dimensions and so on? My house dimensions are the same. Will this become clunky such that it is better to start over?
Make a copy of the LayOut file and relink the references of the model in [file>document setup] to the new SketchUp model
It can be clunky. Do you have all the same scenes? Certainly make a new layout file to try it with. Depending on how your viewports are set up some things may transfer over but dimensions might revert to paper space dimensions.
