How to add materials in SketchUp edu

I have been looking everywhere, yet cannot find how to add new materials on sketchup edu. Any ideas?

You can add materials to the In Model materials collection by inserting a component that already has those materials included. So you might be able to find a component in the 3D Warehouse that has the desired materials or you could make custom materials with the desktop version and upload to the 3D Warehouse or Trimble Connect. There are some materials collections in the Warehouse that will insert into your model as a component. You could then extract the materials to use on your own model in the same file. At this point in time there isn’t any way to add new materials in a permanent materials collection for the web based versions.
