How do you do chamfers?

When you have a cube (100x104x120cm - jerry for water) and you need to chamfer the edges how do you do it? Soften edges is not that much effective and visible as I wish. Maybe you know some free tool to make it as simple as possible or you know some trick to make the work faster?
