How do I take this rounded hexagon pattern, place it on another surface, and cut the hexagons out of that surface?

The hexagons in your model are images. In order to be able to make a hexagonal cutout in a face you would first need to create some geometry. It looks like you are working in the free web version of SketchUp. If that’s correct you can trace the shape with the Line and Arc tools to make that geometry. Or use the Polygon tool to draw a hexagon and then radius the corners.
No I’m using the pro version
Well, you’ll still need to create the geometry. Simplest would be with the Hexagon tool and 2-Point Arc.
How exactly do you do that?
Draw a hexagon with the Polygon tool. Then use the 2-point Arc tool to draw the arcs at the vertices of the hexagon.
How did you match the size so fast?
I used the Tape Measure tool to measure the hexagon in your image.
Using the 2point arc tool what radius did you get it?
I used 3/32" I think. It’s very small so I used 6-sided arcs. Make the hexagon and the radii whatever you want them to be.
I was meaning you match them pretty good to the images so that’s why I was asking.
mine don’t quite resemble hexagons when I use a two point arc tool.
What are you getting? Did you start with a hexagon? Did you make all the 2-point arcs the same size?
I’m making the polygons 9/32 which seems to closely resemble the same size as I it’s 9/16 then using the 2point arc tool mine seems to be coming out more circular than hexagon.
I measured the hexagon in your image as 1/2 in. across the flats.

Much appreciated thanks.
