How do I stop the shadow from a transparent png?

I haven’t heard of Kerkythea. Is it better than V-Ray? I’m still on the trial.

Kerkythea is an older program and available at no charge. Some would probably say it’s outdated but it works just fine for me. Here are a few examples of SketchUp models I’ve rendered in Kerkythea.

Reversing faces seemed to fix it in VRAY as well. It seemed like the backside of the material was transparent so when reversed, the canister became see-through. Also, try to keep the model clean by purging all unused or unnecessary data one in awhile in Window/Model Info/Statistics.

Thanks so much for your help everyone. I’m definitely bookmarking this thread, lol!

That’s better.

I was just playing in Kerkythea.

Needs work.

Nice. I installed it but it looks to be a bit of a learning curve. I might dive into it if the boss doesn’t approve the V-Ray subscription lol.

Like any software there’s a bit of a learning curve but it’s not that bad.

Kerkythea is excellent, but def has learning curve. Here’s a small sample of one render I did a few years back.

Still playing with your canister.

Could stand to have a rim light added behind it.

Here is a photograph of the actual tank. I need to work on the lid and the label size.

Here is the lab scene i made. I made the labeled products but the rest are from the 3D warehouse.
