How do I show insulation around a pipe?

Hello all. I’m looking to show insolation on the pipe in my drawing. This is for piping that is running in a pipe rack for a gas plant. Any thoughts?

Ty

perhaps fredo scale thickener

Is that the name of an extension mics_54?

it is located in Fredo’s joint push pull tools. I use pipe along path to create the pipe with a chosen wall thickness then open the pipe to edit then select the outer pipe surface and context menu select fredo’s thickener and enter the thickness to add

Ty, I’ll check into it.

one concern I might have for using thickener to create the insulation is that i think it makes the insulation a part of the pipe itself and that might be undesirable if you wanted to select the insulation and use the geometry in calculating the volume for an estimate of quantity.
