How do I put an outershell on my creation (its a 3D Bold and Brash

I was trying to use the sketchup web to create a 3D Bold and Brash (spongebob). i was trying to add a shell to my finished piece when I realized that it wasn’t doing anything. Please help.

there are skinning extensions but not for the web version. you would need to go through and manually connect vertices to triangulate the surface… a bit tedious but I think that’s the only option?

There would be other ways to create the shape by push/pulling and scaling too, just use your existing frame as a guide…this is a poor demo, but maybe you get the idea?Once you have the face selected, it can be scaled and also rotated to keep you going in the right direction.

  1. Import reference image, draw 6 sided circle, extrude

  2. Scale & move circles

  3. Make group
    3

  4. Delete inner faces & Soften

P.S. You can make it as intricate as you want, but adding complexity will make it take longer.

I have never used the Web version, but if it has the Sandbox from Contours tool, it might work for skinning the top part of the model.
