Synthetic material? With temperature and humidity changes over the seasons I would anticipate those miters will open up.
Anyway, you should be all set to model it in several ways.

no, whether synthetic or not they don’t open up. it really doesn’t get too crazy hot here. we get 90 degree days for about 3 months I suppose. the humidity isn’t that bad.
