I still don’t have the hang of follow me tool (it never seems to work the same way twice).
Any quick advice on how to create a simple profile in this countertop?

What sort of profile do you want? Would it be added as trim or routed off?
A simple ogee, or other applied molding would be fine…
I am hoping to have no seam- as though it were routed into the countertop…
Since you probably only want it on three sides, draw the profile on the back edge. Select the three edges that the profile is to be cut along, get the Follow Me tool and click on the profile.

Now soften the edges so you can see the shape of the profile.
