Hi i download from 3dwarehouse a blum hinge and i want to put in a cabinet box but i can’t make it dynamic component I have an error when i opent the component attributes Plese look the img Is there any solution for that so i can handle the hinge as i like? Thank you for your time

I don’t understand, this is not a dynamic component, but the error is from the Dynamic Components extension. Are you using dynamic components anywhere in the model?

Sometimes when building or editing a Dynamic Component stuff can get weird, I usually ignore the problem and hope it goes away, it usually does. I know that doesn’t really help, what happens if you just hit OK and keep editing? What attribute were you trying to add when you get the error? Can you show a video of the steps to make the error appear?
What I want to do is place a hinge on a door of a box and be able to place it on the door at any distance I want. I downloaded the above hinge from 3dwarehouse and tried to make component so that I can manage it but when I go to the attributes I get this error. Is there any other solution? Regards Kostas
Hey, without being able to recreate the error, I can’t help. I can add attributes to the hinge and it seems OK. Is it inside another component? It is very hard to help without more info. Maybe this is along the lines of what you are trying to do?

I would caution you about using models from the warehouse with so much detail, they can really bloat your model file size quickly, and make SketchUp run slowly.
EDIT: I did have this error pop up twice just now, I ignored it (clicked ok), and everything seems ok.

I downloaded your file but when i open the component options or attributes i have the same error above I don’t know what happening I use the 2026 version and i wonder if there is a bug or soething like that

If you ignore the error does it keep showing up? It only shows once for me and then disappears…
EDIT: The DC extension is old and does have some bugs, there has never been a patch so you will have to work around them. Here is a list of some known problems: DC Gotcha’s
