I have an object I have just created & I want to add to one of my (many) scenes but keep hidden in all other scenes. I have no spare tags to allocate it to & all present tags are either visible or hidden randomly in all scenes. I know I could go back through all other scenes individualy & hide the new object but is there a quicker way… anyone?
Use Auto-Invisible Layer to add a new tag. By default it will be turned off for all existing scenes. Give the new tag to the group. Turn it on for the one scene and update that scene.

Thanks Dave but what is Auto-Invisible Layer?
Forget that, just seen your link… cheers
Works flawlessly. Thanks to you & developer
In addition to Auto-Invisible Layer, I also use an extension to (un)toggle any given layer in all scenes. It’s an old extension called TOLIAS which I then modified – but I’m about to try out a new one called ‘Get Tags and Hide’. Auto-Invisible Layer is pre-emptive, while the other extension is retroactive.
One of these days I want to figure out how to give Auto-Invisible Layer a big red toggle button on the toolbar.
Why not just give it a keyboard shortcut and save your screen real estate?
Good idea. But i want a prominent button so that I remember to use it each session. Well, most sessions.
