Help with lines disappearing- texture issue?

Hello all! I’m new to Sketchup and having some issues with lines (textures) disappearing in elevation. I added a tiled background in my model (both the working and presentation scenes showcase the tile on the range wall). In creating an elevation of this wall (range elevation scene), the tiled wall lines (texture) disappears and I can’t figure out how to get it back.

I would so appreciate some help! Thank you all! Apologies for the very novice model.

Well, you’ve got it set to display in “hidden line” mode which is just a kind of x-ray perspective. Unfortunately, you can’t really pick and choose which textures show up and which ones are hidden when you’ve selected a particular style like this.
Unless I’m completely misunderstanding the problem, the only way you’re going to get those tiles to show up in the elevation mode would be to break up that particular rectangle into smaller rectangles that correspond with the original texture.

As @wataru.kannuzuki inidcates, you have the face style set to Hidden Line for your elevation. Hidden Line does not show textures. Since the tiles on the wall are a texture, then, of course they won’t be displayed. Set the face style to Shaded with Textures and they will show.

I expect you’ll want to change the color of the edges in the model and it would probably be a good idea to reduce the size of the wood grain texture unless this is a doll house you are modeling.

FWIW, if you want to show the tiles but not the other textures in the model in your elevation, this can be easily done in LayOut with stacked viewports. In this case the top viewport uses your Hidden Line style with the tag for the walls turned off and the viewport rendered as Hiybrid. The bottom viewport is rendered as Shaded with Texture and also rendered as Hybrid. I’d probably do something different to mask the wood grain from the window trim on the right but maybe not.

Dave, thank you so much! I’m going to try to tackle this tomorrow. As for the wood grain, I hear you! I have to play around with that as well. I appreciate your help so much.
