Hi,
when drawing lines and rectangles in 2D layout, I get little black boxes on the corners of the rectangles and on the end of lines or a cross like highlight where lines intersect.
Is there a technical term for this and how do or can you turn it off?
I’ve tried everywhere I can think of…

Sounds like the style you have selected or the style included with the template you have chosen has Endpoints turned on. Edit the style and turn them off.
What version of Sketchup are you currently using? Your profile says 2016. Is that correct?
