Help recover my skp file

please help me restore my files that can’t be opened because the computer freeze and I forced shutdown @colin help me pls Skp - Google Drive

Where have you been saving the file while work on it? Is the SketchUp license a “Business Edition”? The .skp file is about 95% filled with zeroes, the .skb file is about 88.5% filled with zeroes. There’s nothing to recover from either one.

pro licensed

am saving on my hard drive

I forced my computer to shut down when my sketchup didn’t respond

This is likely why your file is corrupted.

Normally a “Not Responding” message indicates SketchUp is busy with something you needed it to do. Instead of shutting the entire computer down you could just force quit SketchUp. That’s less likely to corrupt the file.

You didn’t happen to also save the file at some point to your Trimble Connect storage did you?

I didn’t save it to Trimble

In recovering the file there is also no last file saved

how i cant get my file atleast saved in this day

@colin can u help me

The last saved file would be the .skp file the last time you saved it or the .skb the last time an a successful autosave occurred. Shutting your computer down ruined the files.

Colin might take a look but it’s not likely he’ll be able to do anything considering they are more than 85% empty data.

I have entered it into Lumion. Is there any way I can recover the file from Lumion?

I don’t believe so.

but why is the file size still the same?

All those zeroes still take up space. If this is a model you need you should get busy rebuilding it. And periodically save it to your Trimble Connect storage as well as on your internal drive.
