Hi- this morning i was not able to open the file I’ve spent a week on- VERY FRUSTRATING! have a deadline Monday too.
I’ve tried renaming the back up, opening it on the free version (said it was not a sketch up file), moved it to my desktop- nothing.

It might be that @colin can do something with his magic wand if he has time to look. I couldn’t get anything from them.
Where have you been saving the file while working on it? DId you experience a power failure or other problem?
Your profile shows you are using SketchUP 2026 but the file was saved in SketchUp 2025. Which are you really using?
thanks - I built it in 2025, I downloaded 2026 today hoping it would fix it, but nothing.
sorry - was saving it on my Google drive. no power failures.

This is a case where I can recover the components and materials, but nothing in the scene. See if any of the components in this model of some use.

This is a common cause of file corruption.

Save the file to an internal drive. Also save backups periodically to Trimble Connect so you don’t have to go back so far if things go pear-shaped.
