Just wanted to get your thoughts, how do you maximize the capacity of your graphics card for rendering? I recently upgraded my Graphics card to ASUS Prime 5060 8GB, but the output of my vray rendering became even more pixelated. Now I have to be back using CPU rendering. How do you maximize your graphic card capacity? Thank you for your thoughts
Hi, thanks. I have all those ticked. I have 16GB for RAM and an 8-core Processor, but my GPU rendering still crashes. Says something about Error CUDA 700.
Yes, it is not a Series 30. It is a Series 50 (newer) and I expected it to perform better.
And you are using the free web version of SketchUp?
You can’t maximize a gpu, some models let you overclock it but it’s a bit risky and almost not noticeable performance boost. The crashes may be because the gpu runs out of memory. Are you trying to render a scene with a lot of geometry and lights? If that’s the case you probably downloaded models from the 3D warehouse, imo almost all the 3D warehouse models are useless to be used as assets, most of them are ridiculously detailed, that will cope your memory and it won’t even be visible on the final render. You should use chaos cosmos assets or use the convert to proxy tool from V-Ray. You can not maximize your gpu but you can optimize your model. Can you share the model you’re trying to render? Have you tried to render using the RTX engine instead of the CUDA? Does it crash when you use cpu for rendering as well?
