I purchased Sketchup 2014 and upgraded to 2015 during my maintenance period. Since then I reistalled it on a new hard drive with no problem in 2019. I had to reinstall windows again yesterday. Now when I copy my license and authorization codes, nothing happens and I’m stuck in 30 day trial mode. Any help would be appreciated. I’m using Windows 10 Home btw.
Do you still have the SketchUp.lic file on any hard drive? Its normal location is C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\
If you do, and if the file size is not tiny (200 bytes or more should be ok), move that into the C:\ProgramData\SketchUp\SketchUp 2015\ location in your new system. So long as the motherboard is the same as it was when you first added the license, it should work.

That worked! Thank you so much. It really paid off to keep my old OS drive as an external one.
I’m relieved, because the license server has problems taking new 2015 licenses at the moment.
