Has there been any word on getting thumbnails back on the viewer app?

Hi there,

I know the thumbnails have been broken for a while now - any word on getting them working again? The Dance Center has a thumbnail but none of my models have ones.

Also can’t seem to sign in to the support forums from the Viewer App itself, only works from a computer browser.

Am I the only person experiencing this problem?

I can see thumbnails on my devices… What OS are you using? Perhaps @MikeTadros Can let you know if there is a known issue that I am unaware of.

Hi there,

Thanks for catching that. The loss of thumbnails for models from sources outside of the 3D Warehouse is a known issue. It’s logged in our system as SMV-2565 and is slated to be fixed in the next major version of the SketchUp Viewer app.

Oh good, but I’ve had this problem for at least a year or two. Any idea when the next major version of SketchUp Viewer app will come out?

Unfortunately we don’t have a solid release date at this time, but it’s in progress now.
