Greyed out Shadows

I’m not sure why the shadows are greyed out for some time slots but appear correctly for others. Including a screen shot showing the greyed-out shadows

Untick « on ground »

What you see, in grey, is the shadow on the 0level of your model

Unticking on ground removes the shadow altogether.

This exact settings works for another time of the day but not for some. Would you know why is that the case?

Share the .skp file so we can look at exactly what you have set up and quit guessing.

I wish I could - that would definitely make things easier. However, I may be restricted by company policies from sharing the file. I am only working on the shadow study portion, and the SU model was created by an architect outside of our firm.

Check whether things you expect to receive shadows are below the ground level. Also whether they are set to receive shadows.

Is Ground enabled in the style for the scene? If so, turn it off and update the style.

It is not the aerial image I’m concerned about - I actually reduced its opacity to make the shadows more visible. I’ll share a correct output from another time slot to show the result I am

aiming for.

There is a basement layer which is underground (under the aerial image). But I have hidden it. Will it cast shadows if the object is hidden?
