I have Google Sketchup Pro 8 on a Mac OS 10.6.8, and I want to know if it could work on a Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite, as my system is insisting for this OS upgrade?
Any advice on the matter?

I haven’t tried SU 8 on Mac OS X 10.10, but based on issues people encountered with SU 2014, I would not be surprised if it is unstable due to the change in how Yosemite handles fonts. Trimble has said explicitly that they don’t plan to issue patches for prior versions, and SU 8 is no longer supported. So, unless you upgrade SU, you may be out of luck.
