GOLDILOCKS extension made my model red - look like everything selected in red

It’s affects everything I open…

I would appreciate some help to remove it.

I already uninstalled GOLDILOKS - although I am looking to find an extension pointing to heavy textures and geometry still…

Thank you

it’s solid inspector.

look at the overlay panel in your tray, and untick solid inspector.

I don’t think so…

I restored SketchUp and opened random projects…It’s still there…

Agree with @ateliernab . Have you checked Overlays tray? If Solid Inspection is checked, uncheck it.

THANK YOU.. You are right…

I am not sure what is the function of the OVERLAY window…But it did freak me out…

Is there any other extensions like GOLDILOCKS?

Cherres,

Goldilocks wasn’t causing that, it hasn’t been updated since 2023 though; it was solid inspector showing you what objects aren’t solid on your model. Overlays is a feature added in 2023 that can be used by some extensions like shortcuts fore some tools without having to activate the extension toolbar.

You can use material resizer to check how big are the textures you have on your model and make them smaller.

There’s also a plugin called component and group impact report that shows you the amount of entities and instances of groups and components on your model.

Yes. Thank you.

I realised I accidently ticked the box in the overlay window…

Still not clear what it’s meant to do…

Statistics in SketchUp is a very good tool to learn about edges and faces, but I find GOLDILOCKS very handy to point you towards heavy geometry and textures, which may have been added accidentally during the development of the model.

The only problem is that I find it difficult to identify the object/texture. It would be handy if you could open them straight from the extension…

Another useful FEATURE on my wishlist.

it allows you to enable certain extensions full time.

it could be something like Curic gizmo that gives you a 3d gizmo to work with, could be something displaying infos about your model…

not really sure how to use it with solid inspector.

check CG impact report
it lists all the groups and components, by quantity of geometry and use. and you can select the objects.

material resizer allows you to resize materials. duh.
resizing from 4000px to 2000px reduces the weight by 4.

But since we’ve established solid inspector made everything red… I think you could reinstall Goldilocks, it was working fine
