Geometry still showing after hiding all tags

Hexagon BB~.skp (150.8 KB)

These are 2 screenshots of the same area of my screen. In one all tags are hidden. In the other none of the tags are hidden.

On the hidden image, please consider #1 first. When I try to make that into a component the message says “Edit component.” It looks like I may have forgotten to make the component into a tag. So, how do I find out the name of that component?

#2 is showing the lines on an opening I had placed into the wall. What should I do with those lines?

Your model has a component named “BB Hall Wall Upper” which is not tagged. This appears to be part of the upper left wall. If you add the BB Hall Wall Upper tag to the component and then hide all you do indeed get a blank scene.

You do not put a component or group in tags. You assign tags to group or component.

Then, by turning tags OFF or ON, you can control the visibility of groups or components.

A good habit is to never assign a tag to loose geometry (loose geometry is geometry that has not been transformed in a group or a component).

Jean,

There seems to be too much to remember. Thank you very much for the info about the component-tag connection.
