Geolocation freezes SU

Hi, I’m trying to work on my Architecture Lecture project, and it requires me to import a location with terrain as the first step, but whenever I go to try the Geolocation tool, it freezes the application, becomes unresponsive, and turns the entire viewport white. My friend is also having the same problem, and neither of us can seem to figure out how to fix it. GeoLocation Grab Crashes / Freezes SketchUp2017

Ever since upgrading to SketchUp Pro 2017 I am no longer able to grab a screen shot using GeoLocation–> Add Location. It just freezes the program, there is no bug splat or crash. The blue spinning circle shows that the computer is busy and it just stays there. I have tried: to uninstall and reinstall verified it’s pointing to the correct video card click around to force a bug splat let it sit overnight, thinking maybe it just takes longer to load Nothing seems to work. Geo Location Causes Crashing

I’ve got my graphic drivers up to date. Yes, I’ve installed SketchUp by selecting Run as administrator. I am aware of the recent changes in the geo location, but my problem isn’t mentioned on the FAQ. It’s just that when I try to grab a location, SketchUp freezes and stops working. I have to close the program through task manager as it won’t respond

I think one of these is pro but yes, I’m using SketchUp 2017 Make
