Worked fine this morning and suddenly it does not work. This happened to me before, a few weeks ago. It solved itself after a few days. I never had this problem on versions before 2024

you can try this
Thanks for your answer.
I wish it was that easy. IĀ“m on my laptop, using that screen only. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnāt. Even it would open outside the screen for whatever reason, it would have been an issue in previous version too. I only had this problem in 2024. All the other windows are shown
You have 2 discrete problems.
GeoLocation is a manual task using the panel of the same name in the Model Info window. There is a Add Location⦠button on the panel that requires that itās extension is installed and enabled in teh Extension Manager.
Add Location is an extension that uses (I believe) a Ruby Html dialog window. Make sure that you are using the newer edition for 2024 and above. The latest version is 1.7.7
:
- Add Location (2024 version) | SketchUp Extension Warehouse
If you copied the old edition from an older version of SketchUp, uninstall of delete it, and then install this new edition.
How are you trying to use it ?
3D Warehouse uses a native CEF Html dialog window displaying the website.
How are you tying to uses it?
You can check (and edit) the %LocalAppData%
"PrivatePreferences.json"
file when SketchUp is closed, by navigating to:
%LocalAppData%/SketchUp/SketchUp 2024/SketchUp
Make a backup copy of the "PrivatePreferences.json"
file first.
Open in a code editor or Notepad (not a word processor.)
Within "This Computer Only"
, scroll down to the sub objects beginning with "W"
.
The keyname for Add Location is: "WebCommonDialog_habitat_site_context"
The keyname for the 3D Warehouse is: "WebCommonDialog_Warehouse"
Verify that the coordinates for "Left"
(x) and "Top"
(y) will be on your screen size.
Verify that the sizes for "Width"
and "Height"
will be within your screen size, given the locations (x,y).
