3d Warehouse Not Opening

I am having issues in SKU 2024 on Windows 11, where the 3d Warehouse is not opening.

Are there any known issues?

Windows 11, works from both SU and Google Chrome

I just checked and it’s working fine for me. What are you seeing when you try to open the 3D Warehouse in SketchUp? Can you open the Extension Warehouse panel?

Hamid, did you last open it when you had more displays connected to your computer? If so, the window could be lost offscreen.

No messages on screen, just doesnt open. Extension warehouse opens without issue.

Yes this is correct, however I have since restarted and still had the same issue.

I have however been able to access the library via browser as an interim solution.

So no window at all? Or a blank window?

No window at all…

It is essentially to follow exactly as I wrote, nothing more nothing less.

  • Close your SketchUp, then reopen SketchUp.
  • Select the menu with mouse: Windows>>3D Warehouse
  • hold the ⊞ Winkey and hit the →right arrow key several times, until the 3D Warehouse windows appears.
The most important is to do not click with your mouse or do not hit other keys as written after selecting the 3D Warehouse menu.

I just had this exact issue. Following these instructions worked for me:

For me this solved the problem:

"First, make sure all instances of Sketchup and LayOut are closed.

Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\SketchUp\SketchUp year\SketchUp and delete the PrivatePreferences.json file."

Warning! This is a drastic solution that should be the last resort.

Deleting this file will destroy any custom shortcuts, all the toolbar and tray & panels setups and put the application back into original state.

Before deleting this file ...

Before deleting this file, I would attempt to edit it (making a backup copy first) and change the "WebCommonDialog_Warehouse" settings for "Top" and "Left" attributes.*

* Must be edited with SketchUp closed, else the changes will not take effect.

Hey, this works really good! I did not know of this handy window placement command. I’m going to use this more often for arranging windows.

You can hold down the ⊞ Win key and Shift key together and hit one of the arrows key … for “other kind” of placing/resizing

I see this moves the window from one display to another. Also nifty.
