From Copy to Paste in Layout a light yellow background is added in some areas

I made a 2D drawing in Sketchup, then copy/pasted it into a blank Layout template. When it appears in Layout it has a light yellow background. How do I get rid of the yellow background?

It would help if you would share the LayOut file.

FWIW, copying from SketchUp and pasting into LayOut is very poor workflow and likely to create problems for you. You should either use Send to LayOut from Sketchup’s File menu or Insert from LayOut’s file menu and a given SketchUp file should only be added to a given LayOut file once.

Copying from SketchUp and pasting into LayOut among other things changes the style used in the viewport.

What version of SketchUp and LayOut are you using? Your profile says you are using SketchUp Go but there is no access to LayOut with that version.

I’m guessing that you Background under Styles in your Sketchup model might not be set to 255,255,255 white.

FWIW, copying from SketchUp and pasting in LayOut results in a separate embedded SketchUp reference for each viewport with none of them being linked to the original SketchUp model. Edits to the original SketchUp model will not carry over into the LayOut file. You’d have to edit each embedded reference .skp file to make updates. And each viewport uses “Last saved SketchUp view” for the scene. If you edit one of the embedded reference SketchUp files and don’t save the file with the camera in the exact same location, the model will appear to shift in the viewport when you go back to LayOut.
