I cannot get my dynamic component properties to accept fractional (i.e. 1 1/2 vs. 1.5) values. For length, height, etc., I set the property to use end-user model units. When I try to enter a fraction (that works everywhere else in SketchUp) it gets truncated to the whole number. This only happens in dynamic components. Why? Am I missing something?

I think it’s just set that way.

Oddly, if I set the units to decimal feet, 10 1/2 works as 10’6"

But for inches, I couldn’t figure out a way to get fractions. I know, it’s a bit of a pain, I just convert to decimals. I think maybe because LEN sizes only accept decimals and not fraction, but it’ll do the math for larger units like feet to convert to inches.

That could be a nice future request.

I found that even using end-users model units you can enter 0’ 6 1/8" and it works correctly giving 6.125". Apparently it just needs the feet part to get the fraction right for some reason.
