Hi,
I am trying to fold the tags on this guy wire bracket down 45 degrees along the dashed fold lines.
Any suggestion on how I might do this.
I can make one part then copy rotate 120 degrees x2
but I still need to bend the initial part
A few options come to mind. Model one third of it with the bend in the first place and then use Rotate/Copy to make the other two thirds.
With the part drawn flat and with thickness you could use Radial Bend in FredoScale to bend it.
Hi DaveR,
As always, your advice and recommendations remain invaluable.
I did have to download FredoScale!
I made a component of one 60 ° part and used RadialBend to bend it.
I then made a mirror image to get one 120° segment.
Then I used the rotation tool copy and paste 120°x2
The result is as shown.
I have exported the plan view (without bending) as a DXF file to my contracting company who will laser cut it out of 12 mm alloy aluminium plate in the morning
I do really appreciate your input; thank you very much!
