Fluted Tile

This is a 3D tile (raised in the middle) that I have modeled, but im not sure how to acheive the fluting at the bottom. Any Ideas?

Not sure what you mean, but if you want to have one set of tiles that do not have the raised arcs at both ends make the tile a solid and use the solid tools to trim it square?

If solid tools do not work you could make a Move + Copy of the component tile and scale it up 100x then do the solid tools. It looks like you have very small geometry.

What do you want to use the tile for? That is ALOT of small detail.

Need to add ridges in the triangle part

What is your end use for the model?

That is a lot of small detail. If you are 3d printing or making a super detailed model for rendering / product catalog / etc. - maybe you should model it (I’d model it 100x its real life size). But if you don’t need the actual geometry I would try to achieve that with a texture.

If you do need to model it I would probably create a solid shape of the ridges and add / subtract them out of the main piece … but again, it’s quite small so you’ll need to model this at a larger size / scale.

And please update your user profile. ‘2023’ is not an operating system, and you can look up your graphics card in your system settings.
